Telling the time (quarter past)

I was learning to tell the time.  Now I know that you can say time in different ways like quarter to and quarter past.  It was tricky to figure out the time in digital and it was tricky to say it.

I  was learning how to write a persuasive text.  Now I know that I need to back up my opinion with reasons.  It was tricky to think about reasons.

I was  learning to skim and scam to summarise.   Now I know that you can only read one sentence and read the sub-heading and look at the picture.  It was  tricky because sometimes I could not  find the information.

I was learning to  add direct speech.  Now I know after  any punctuation you  have to  use speech marks.  It was tricky  because  sometimes I  forget  where  to put  them  because  sometimes  it is  hard to remember  where  it goes.

Now I know we have  to look for the clues in the story.    I have to use the clues to figure out the characters and what they are like.  I found it tricky because there are lots of words and it's hard to find the clues in them.

I was learning to do division.  Now I know what division means.  It was tricky because I didn't know how much there is in the groups.

We looked at a picture of Red Riding Hood, and we described what we saw.

Reflection
I was learning to look for features in non-fiction books.  Now I know that in some non-fiction books there are index pages and glossaries.  An index page tells you what pages the story's on and what number and what the sub-heading is.  It was tricky because sometimes I forgot what the title is called and sub-headings and I got mixed up.                                          

Understanding multiplication

I was earning to understand multiplication.  Now I know it's not read as 5 times 2 but 5 groups of two.  It was tricky because I didn't know how much numbers were in each group.

I was learning to write a introduction,body and conclusion. I know that in a introduction you have         to  have the 4 ws.  It was tricky to write the body and conclusion because it is hard to talk about my emotions.
