I am learning to
- add some detail to my writing
- choose words to make my writing more interesting
We wrote about about a Kapa Haka Performance that we watched in the auditorium during Māori Language Week. First we wrote 2 sentences and then the next day we added some more writing to make our stories more interesting.
"I like writing about God and the whole wide world. Sometimes it's hard to spell the words. I have to sound the first letter out and underline the tricky words. Sometimes I like writing about my friends and my sister and my family."

You are starting to gain confidence in your story writing. Remember to sound out the first sound of tricky words and then carry on with your story. You can also use the alphabet cards to help you as well.
